This friendly, village pub is warm and cosy and has an excellent atmosphere. Now run by Ronnie and Jo who serve a lovely range of traditional food such as fresh fish & chips, wholesome Cottage pie and succulent steaks. A lovely country pub to visit on a balmy, summer’s evening and sample some of the fine ales.

Previously the manager here, Kath Sheppard is now the tenant and she and Nigel continue to make improvements. She serves a hearty menu such as home made chilli and a good range of steaks - if you’re feeling hungry, try the 32oz rump! A great Sunday carvery too and kids love the play area and their own kids room.

Good, simple home cooking, utilising as much home grown produce as possible. Typical dishes are sausage & mash and a delicious Shepherd’s pie. This is a family run venue who in turn welcome and appreciate the needs of the whole family. Pub games, a jukebox and a quiz on Sundays ensures fun for all!

Lincolnshire Pride’s ‘Best Restaurant 2007-2008 is a pretty strong recommendation and one which we would endorse. Chef du Patron, John Clark, utilises predominantly local produce in his creative seasonal menus, which are nicely complemented with a carefully chosen wine list and some fine micro brews.
