Paul & Karen took over this fantastic free house in March 2010 and have already made a great impact on the local community. A delightful setting near the Broads has been enhanced by a tasteful refurbishment, an excellent choice of ales and some sumptuous country cooking. The ales are from local breweries and include IPA, Adnams, Woodforde’s Wherry and the food features delights like Beef & Ale Pie and Fillet of Beef East Indies, a fusion of mushrooms, curry and stem ginger! Plenty to do too, with a play area for kids, a quiz and regular live music.

A truly unique venue located on the Norfolk Broads with mooring for up to 28 boats. New owner, Ian Chinn keeps 6 fine ales including Nelson’s Revenge and Woodforde’s Wherry and serves great, home made food, with favourites that include Steak & Ale Pie, Pizza and lots of fresh fish, as well as a superb Carvery. Lots of events, including live bands and delightful, al fresco dining in the summer.

Nice to find a carvery that is available every day of the week, and there’s a great offer of 2 meals for £10 from Monday to Saturday. Specials are available too, including vegetarian options, plus a full bar menu and there’s a good choice of wines and real ales. The rooms are superb value as well, at only £44 per room.

A delightful country pub that has been greatly enhanced by Steve & Trudi. There are beams aplenty and 3 open fires as well as 4 excellent ales and delicious food created by Lou. Our favourites were Slow Roasted Pork Belly with Aspells Gravy and beautifully fresh Pan Fried Seabass. The large garden is perfect for families and there is lots of entertainment too. This really is a venue that offers something for everyone!

This wonderful Art Deco style pub has been lovingly refurbished by Martin & Lyn Window. They have created a venue that has something to offer all. The food is of the best quality and features a range of menu's to suit all tastes from quality home-made Burgers, through to Sea Bass and delicious Steak & Kidney Pudding's too! There are no less than 6 well kept Real Ales including Adnams Broadside and 5 guest's as well as lots to do with regular live entertainment too.

Now run by Christopher & Nicola and set in a beautiful location next to the River Bure. Excellent food, making the most of local produce, from fresh soups and sandwiches to beef Wellington and lobster Thermidore. Pop in for tea and mouth watering cakes too! Self catering cottage available with stunning views.

Overlooking the River Bure, this family friendly venue is now run by Bridget and George who provide a friendly welcome. The garden is a delight in summer and can also be enjoyed in winter from the heated patio. Something for everyone on the menu, from fresh salads to succulent steaks. Kids have their own menu.

With over 50 Real Ales, Norfolk Cider's & Wine's this former old boatshed has probably the greatest variety of drinks in the area and is certainly one of it's hidden gems! Steeped in Norfolk charm & sympathetically refurbished with something for all, the welcome is second to none & in the evening there is a selection of local takeaways that deliver your order directly to the pub, so whether it's Indian, Pizza, Chinese or Kebab you can just relax and soak up the atmosphere!
