A really friendly village pub, with a great atmosphere, opposite the green. Newly refurbished and with a large garden which is splendid in summer, where you can hire a marquee for parties. Michael and Emma offer a warm welcome and serve 3 well kept real ales and a good choice of traditional, home made pub food.

New landlord, Adam Chapman, is ambitious and has already transformed the King’s Head and still plans to do more! He has increased his clientele from 40 per day to over 400! It is down to 6 quality ales which include Adnams and Woodfordes Wherry as well as a range of quality pub dishes. Vegetarians are well catered for and love his Wok Pie and the perennial favourite of Bangers & Mash is served with delicious Crispy Onion Grass. Not far from Holt this is an excellent spot to stay and with en-suite and family rooms from just £80, it’s not a difficult decision!

This lovely Norfolk local, run by Kevin & Julie is just a few miles from the coast and radiates a comfortable and warm atmosphere, complete with a delightful inglenook fireplace. They serve some fine ales, including Adnams, Wherry and Broadside and also offer a nice range of traditional pub classics. The Chicken & Leek Pie, Beer Battered Cod, Steak & Ale Pudding and Liver & Bacon are all excellent! The garden is just perfect for families and the varied live entertainment provides something to suit all tastes.
