We stopped at this pub for lunch on Sunday. Unfortunately the 'good' home cooked food wasn't...The meal certainly looked as if it had been cooked by an amateur and we will not be returning for another visit.
I have stayed at the Nelthorpe regularly now for some 3 years. The Pub and it's locals are the friendliest I have seen anywhere. The food is excellent and the rooms are spotless. An absolute model of a pub for the community.
My family and I booked into the Nelthorpe arms on the 1st of Feb, When we got into the rooms we found them very cold, the beds had not been aired and felt damp this was on one of the coldest days of the year so far....I slept with my dressing gown on and my socks also, these are farments I do not sleep in at home...would I go there again? Not in a million years.
