A family oriented pub that is fittingly family run. Set in an acre of land Tracey Watlin serves well kept ales, including Adnams and Broadside and some great locally sourced food. New owners, Martin and Linda, run this friendly, traditional free house. Open all day for great value food and drinks, with OAP specials from £4.50 and a popular Sunday roast. A great venue for all ages with regular theme nights, a new secure outside area with a lit pond, waterfall, kids play area and a bouncy castle!

Step back in time at this C13th former smugglers’ inn, with its legends of secret tunnels, rustic interior and open fire. Adnams Orford Platter, which includes delicious, freshly smoked local fish. A truly atmospheric place to stay, with double rooms from £60.

This C14th inn, which is set in 2 acres of grounds and boasts 2 log fires, is now run by the Barker family. A superb menu of home made dishes, with fish and game in season the speciality, is served both lunchtimes and evenings and can be accompanied by well kept real ales. All private functions are welcomed.

Pat Levy has created a fantastic venue in a stunning location. It really is a true reflection of the local community. Used by lots local sportsmen, including fishermen, sailors and the hunting fraternity, the menu is unsurprsingly full of fresh local produce, including locally sourced vegetables fish and seasonal game. The drinks to accompany Pat’s excellent cuisine also feature local producers, with beer from nearby Adnams and the popular Aspalls Cider also a neighbour. This superb pub offers some thing rare, no slot machines or jukebox, just beautiful views, great food and drink and good conversation!

Brian has recently taken over and has already made a big impact. The tasteful refurbishment has been done sympathetically making this friendly local, once again an attractive pub. He serves 3 good real ales, one of which is the ever popular Adnams and produces some lovely pub food. Succulent Steaks, Lamb Cutlets, Pork Hock and Steak & Kidney Pie are just a few of the delights on his diverse menu and for you traditionalists there is even Boiled Bacon & Pease Pudding! The interior is cosy, boasting 2 log fires and the games room offers something for everyone.
