Steeped in history, this former courthouse serves excellent ales and a wonderful array of fine home cooked food and is run by the highly professional Pamela & Tony. The beers include IPA, Wherry and Adnams and some of the food highlights are fresh Cod & Home-made Chips and Sunday Carvery coming soon. Kids are welcomed and smaller portions are served if required. All in all well worth a visit!

Not just a refreshment point for the museum, but a genuine stand alone restaurant with its own entrance. Good English food, with all day breakfasts, steak & ale pie, Cornish pasties and tempting, freshly baked cakes, produced by the skilled Stacey Gilbert. There’s also an excellent delicatessen too.

The warmest of welcomes is guaranteed by ever friendly landlady, Angela Crocker. She has created a really welcoming environment where you can enjoy 3 good ales, including Woodfordes Wherry and a nice selection of pub food which features Lasagne, Chilli, Ham, Egg & Chips and a Roast of the day. The monthly Curry Night is very popular and not to be missed and if you are looking to put on a function then Angela’s conservatory is just perfect!
