An excellent example of a true village inn, dating to 1528. The 5 newly refreshed bedrooms are superb value at £45 including breakfast. The light and airy dining room is a lovely environment in which to enjoy fresh locally sourced food, including some wonderful fish and lots of mouthwatering house desserts.

Russell and Sarah have made vast improvements to this 18th Century pub. There are real beams and an open fire which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A selection of entertainment with a pool table and monthly quizzes as well as a safe enclosed garden.

Refurbished back to its original C17th character, you’ll find a super selection of wines and a fine array of tempting dishes. Claire & Mike have breathed fresh life into this friendly local and serve a diverse range of drinks which includes 2 real ales. The food is fresh and varied with everything from simple Sandwiches to piping hot Fresh Pies and interesting Shared Platters. There is also plenty to do with race nights, live bands, curry evenings and with a range of other functions, you won’t get bored! All in all a real community venue.

Owners, Les and Sue Anderson have recently refurbished their delightful pub and extended the restaurant which now boasts an interesting array of antiques and a lovely patio. They serve IPA and a guest and serve fine traditional English food. The Fillet Steak with Gorgonzola and Chicken Roulade Stuffed with Spinach are both outstanding!
