Last week went into spice merchants with a few colleagues and I have to say the food was a delight! The service was very quick and the food was well presented. The waiters where lovely, one particular waiter called Hussain made the atmosphere feel very pleasant. The restaurant was very chic, clean and modern. The central point of the restaurant has a very attractive bar which is oak finished. Keeping in with the oak theme, the chairs are made of soft brown leather and the tables are very spacious with crisp white tablecloths and napkins. For the couples, there is a hidden table through an archway, which is very romantic, and the soothing music really sets the scene. The lavatory is very clean and big, with two toilets and a washbasin, with a fast hand dryer and a moisturizer. It also has a beautiful full-length mirror. The parking facilities are excellent as the restraunt has a huge car park. On the whole I would recommend Spice Merchants to everyone, as it did not seem like a typical Indian restaurant, it has a modern twist. I would also recommend everyone to try the lamb shank (on the bone meat), which is cooked in kashmeri style, in rich roasted tomato sauce.
