Anne & Richard provide tremendous service with 4 fine ales which include Flowers IPA and Hobgoblin and food that is both home-made and wholesome! Succulent, freshly baked Pies, a LU7 2RD wonderful Steak Special, cooked in whiskey and served in a Mushroom Sauce, authentic American Meatballs and freshly baked bread are just a few of the highlights on their exciting and innovative menu. Add to this a host of entertainment with live music, pool, darts and book and chess clubs, as well as a delightful canalside setting and we don’t think you could ask for more!

A truly family oriented pub that is a hive of activity. From as early as 11.30am you can enjoy a filling fry up and then bar snacks are served till closing time! The food is varied, with Spaghetti Bolognese, Sausage & Chips and some great desserts like Treacle Sponge and Chocolate Tart. The garden has an adult only area for smokers as well as a play area for kids and there is lots of fun with bands, karaoke, discos, a quiz, darts and poker.
