Richard Hargroves has taken The French Horn back to its former glory. He produces a wonderful array of Modern British classics with innovative dishes such as Oxtail Suet Pudding, as well as old favourites like Pork Belly and Devilled Kidneys. Children are well catered for and can have smaller portions and enjoy a safe enclosed garden. Richard keeps a broad and reasonably priced wine list and also offers 3 good real ales. A place of quality, and equally appropriate for a quiet dinner or a larger function.

This 300 year old, grade II listed community pub has a homely environment with old furnishings and 2 log fires. In fact, it is the only traditional pub in Ampthill with a garden, and it has an enclosed play area with a bouncy castle (in summer) and a large decking area.
